invisible web

After looking around the different search and indexing sites accessible through the article on the invisible web by Robert Lackie, I have decided that it is not that great if looking for information on history as when I tried to search for information on the hundred years war and the war of the roses there was only one directory that was useful which was about.com. Out of the databases the Megaportal site had some potentially interesting articles.
This resource looked like it could be quite useful to those looking for information on science and biology more specifically as it includes Pubmed and Animalsearch in the database section. There are several other sites that are intended to provide information in specific subject areas so in general this site could be useful for searching most subjects.
